GUVANCH is a New York-based fashion label and atelier founded by designer Guvanch Agajumayev. Born and raised in Turkmenistan, Agajumayev moved to New York at 19, where he began developing his own creative practice and eventually his eponymous label. His experience of leaving home, building a life in New York and finding his own means of self-expression continues to inform the brand and its approach to storytelling.

Working from a studio and atelier in New York, GUVANCH sits between fashion, art and performance, with an emphasis on hand-making, material experimentation and storytelling. The work is created alongside a team of immigrants, queer creatives and creatives of color, many of whom, like Agajumayev, have built lives far from where they began.

Each GUVANCH piece is handmade, with the atelier developing clothing, accessories, footwear and jewelry alongside custom fabrics and experimental materials. The brand currently works through private appointments, custom pieces and select releases while continuing to develop its ready-to-wear practice.
